"C64 Porno Nummer 1"?
The new list with banned (well, not really completely banned, but that would be a bit complicated to explain) media from the German Bundesprüfstelle came out. According to German law, they have to re-evaluate banned stuff after 25 years, and most things get legalised because it's either harmless from today's perspective or the disks/tapes are unusable.
Anyway, on the list for November, 2 C64 games and a demo were "unbanned": Highlander, Death Wish III and... "C 64 Porno Nummer 1!!" by Private Software Service (I think they mean PIRATE Software Service), banned in December 1987.
I believe they got the release name wrong as well as the group name, anyway, does anybody know this demo/diashow/whatever it is? |

Most likely this one: Porno Movie 1
It was very widespread and because it was done in BASIC, a lot of people changed the displayed text.

The BPjS was pretty strict back then and even put stuff like Blue Max or Commando onto the index. Ofcourse teenagers were keen to hunt those titles down.
Together with some magazines printing those lists every now and then, those titles pretty much stuck in a lot of german sceners minds. :)
Perhaps worth to mention: Back then they had to put every version onto the index on it's own. This basically means: C64 Porno Nummer 1/PSS was on index, but C64 Porno Nummer 1/Loverboy Crackings was not. |
