Drive Mechanics - Vice, Micro64, Turbo Chameleon

Out of curiosity, What tolerance values are used in Vice, Micro64 and Turbo Chameleon for drive mechanics?

I do have a real c64, but no floppy drive (Only chameleon used as attachment for drive loading)

I am currently testing a packed sample streamer where timing seems pretty tight (Although have somewhat
reduced the urgency by loading files into relevant sections allowing some of these to be reused where need
be minimizing constant loading of chunks.

Seems to work fine in Chameleon and Vice (Even with simulated extra CPU usage per frame) but fails in micro64 during the section where there is additional seek penalty due to reading a file >42 then seeking
back to a lower file number.

(According to bit-fire documentation, 42 files are cached to minimize seek penalty)

Is vice's mechanics emulation more conservative or more similar to the real mechanics to a 1541?

I will work around the issue by reorganizing the files if need be, but just out of curiosity wondered whether it should be sufficient as it is.

neither VICE nor chameleon (nor 1541U) emulate this at all - seeks are instant. micro64 emulates it somewhat, but god knows how accurate it is.

you *really* need a real drive (in fact, a stack of them) for testing anything related to that.
