codebase64
Anybody know what happened, it seems to have been nuked?
https://codebase64.org/ just shows a cgi-bin from 2017 and any links to a known page return "well this should be a 404 but they don't even have a 404 page" |

Yo guys! Thanks for supportive words, and keep adding (or editing) stuff to the wiki! In two years it has been up for 20 years, so you can start working on a gigantic epic Codebase64 tribute demo already. ;) |

While I am awaiting the demo and HOPE for less negative answers whenever asking graphicians around here for wiki gfx next time - a final general update:
Codebase Domains:
https://codebase64.net *MAIN*
https://codebase64.com *Alternative - thx PAL*
https://codebase64.pokefinder.org *Alternative sub*
https://codebase64.c64.org *Alternative sub - thx Slagge*
https://codebase.c64.org *don't ask :)*
all these work as plain HTTP as well of course.
Users not being logged in will not be shown edit things (mostly) - request an account as described on the site :)
SITE EXPORT is now finally fixed to a degree we can deal with. To make it work forever it will likely be renamed to codebase64_latest.zip or smthg and re-build monthly but for now we are asking people around here to download the dump and comment on it.
Oh, about 90 exisiting users with less than 10 regularly contributing/editing -- how about YOU requesting an account for adding content, structuring the wiki and helping the community?¿¿¿¿¿¿! |

Where is the dump though? The link above just redirects to the start page.
Never mind, I found this: https://codebase64.net/codebase64_2025-06.zip |

It will regularly be updated at https://codebase64.net/doku.php?id=download_codebase64 in the future. |

I uploaded the wiki export to archive.org to have as a fallback if this persists. Archiving the wiki should probably be done anyway.

Gordian: what? Logged in and anon users should be able to access the download page?
El Topo: well ... archive.org scans the site quite ok for 20 yrs now. Soon we'll rename the wiki download to codebase64_latest.zip to keep it from being a moving target. Even found back two files at arhive.org which went missing around 2015 and we never got notified ... think about THAT! :)
Welcome to have yet another copy at archive.org but shouldnt be necessary in the future - just wait a few days/weeks for crawlers to catch up - never hesitate :) |

Count Zero: I will not argue about this but I just want to say that you too have probably surfed on some long lost site on the Wayback Machine and found that the crawls are mostly complete? With an export like this you are sure to get everything from the wiki at a given time. |

Quoting Count ZeroGordian: what? Logged in and anon users should be able to access the download page?
Count Zero: The site was not available (any URL) from ~10/11AM yesterday, I don't know how long (about 2PM still was not working). Also via codebase64.pokefinder.org |

I can confirm this, this is in part what made me decide to upload to archive.org in the first place. |
