Entry # 26370 - Old Skool Game

It seems I'm unable to post in the CSDB entries forum so this seems to be the logical next choice.

http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=26370

A few comments about this release:

- Why is this a crack, a simple rip of demo RAM is not a crack?

- The high score saver was not necessary but included to be entertaining. To re-release it with it disabled was pointless. The high-score saver was not bugged if you downloaded the 100% version.

Understandably releases on here are seen as fresh meat for a starving assortment of groups, and even demos are fit for ripping from. It's another reason the scene has become so lame...

Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT mad about this, on the contrary I am flattered. I simply wanted to point out the reasons listed for re-releasing were weak.

Anyway because I expected it to be released, and because I have an open-source policy, the entire game source code is going to be made available. I had planned it this way, that's why there was no game timer included for I knew someone would re-release it.

The final version is almost finished with new music, new animations, different flying patterns and the ability to shoot back. It will be released with source code when completed.

Personally I'd have waited for that release :)

Hehe... yea like I said I expected it to occur but I was curious why it was listed as a crack and bug-fix.

The release itself I have no objections with. I locked the release but will keep it up. I only had a question about the credits attached from the group.

The PM explained it all.

Full version will be out soon enough... now I have to get back to moving :D

=== End ===

What's the deal with the two identical download links?

Edit: It seems to be corrected now.
