coder required for some simple code :)
hiho,
I'm looking for someone with some code knowledge to display a hires picture for me. I'm not going to release the picture at a compo, as i thought i'd simply release the pic here on CSDb. The picuture was inspired by an image called *The Boat* which was released here on CSDb some weeks ago. My picture is called *Return of the Boat*
There is a little more to do than that:
Display the usual WEC intro.
Display a text screen with a press space (to view pic)
Display hires bitmap screen and 8 hires sprites and possibly play a tune
(although i donot have a tune at the moment)
..any takers? :) |

That WEC logo page is very nice! I like that stripped down style!
Makes me think of the old Synapse intro found on Shamus II IIRC.
Maybe you should have an intro linker? ;)

The WEC logo does look kinda raw. The great thing about it being so simple (raw) by design allows for many other uses to be invented. The logo could be made to scroll/appear in upper or lower border with out any problems. I has one idea for a vector (wire frame or filled) with the logo turning into view :)
..as per usual none of these other effects have happends to date ;)

hi Zyron, do you have any cool unreleased tunes knocking about that i could use with my hires picture :)

The Boat
I decided to take that picture and extend the story. Return of the Boat's see's the boat return. The boat owner has a beard too. My image uses plain hires bitmap (no interlace) and teh image has more colour. It looks more like day time, although the tunnel still looks dark. In my image the tunnel now looks more like a scene from Amsterdam, hehe. |

I don't have anything unreleased by now. All I got is a big bunch of totally useless worktunes that I regret checking out every time that happens...like on parties when I need a compotune :) |

oh ok then. Not unless you want to hand over a totally useless work tune ;)
/goes off to check out the HVSC for a fitting tunes. I can picture what sort of tune would fit, weather or not i can find such a tune is a different matter.
Update: Just found a good tune, it is quite new and released over the past week. It should fit in quite well.
