Release id #14321 : Turrican 3

Ich dachte der C64 ist seit 12 Jahren tot ?

Weit gefehlt.

D A N K E ! ! ! !

Come on, guys, The Dark Judge is right with his comment about the german prod comment of T3. I mean wasn't there an English only rule written in the forum rules?!

Nevernethless, I agree, the C64 is NOT dead :D

offer: I could translate this post above and the german prod comment into English and send it to the CSDb admin?
Because contents-wise both comments are interesting/good, just the wrong language...

Opinions?!...

Far from it!
After downloading Turrican III, I have recognized, there is only deadth in a computer life if there are no new releasing comming out and thus nobody keeps him alive. Smash Designs did shock wise bring back my C64 from hibernation.
,
Also, I want to remember, that the magazine "64'er" write 13 years ago, that, if the coder team also had nice music next to nice graphic during the complete game, they had to be brought intfront of the "Microprocessor Court".

Now, it seems like Smash Designs have to go there and state their responsibility ;-)

What the SKILLED coders managed to make from a 22 years old system, is the, with large distance most amazing software creation, I have ever "played" on my C64.

It was impossible to switch it off on late evening!!!

Dear Smash Designs Team. Get Manni Trenz along on your side and do more magic!

Publish on your homepage the money tranfer bank details and and I will transfer you, your deserved 20 €.

I am feeling guilty to keep such a masterpiece unrewarded.

I think the Intertan translation is more amusing. Oh, almost forgot the :) politeness. Good one, Cyberbrain.

Wouldn't it be a challenge to have a Chinese review as endboss?

Instead my translation features amusing spelling errors, is that not amusing enough? :)

No that's just annoying: P

Especially that common German mistake of always translating "seit" to "since" in all cases.

Example: "Ich habe seit 10 Jahren hier gewohnt" is "I have lived here for 10 years" and not "I have lived here since 10 years".

does it count that I have done it in a rush (because I did post something wrong and had to edit it until somebody replies to my post - that would have been more embarrasing than some little glitches in my translation - next time I do a fine one, I promise :) ) - and it has been after 8 pm? O:)

I trained it and made a levelskipper, looked at how to make a decent level-system, but the bugged levels (especially the later ones) were more than a bit too much. I guess most crackers today want to see a point with spending much time their releases. Just adding a trainer and a levelskipper and compacting it down half a disk isn't really worth the trouble.

it would be a shame if someone had actually released it as a crack.

most/some of the source is available.
Take a look at it yourself in the assembler that comes with the source. There you will find the memory-adresses for lives, energy etc. in the $0900ies iirc.
Load a level, active monitor (AR6 works just fine), and cheat.
Personally I actually did that. Set lives to 50 and nothing else. You still see how 'good' you are in the end and you didnt fuxx0r the gameplay.
The levels are standalone, so the adresses may change if you want infinite engery etc as well. But who would want that?
With 50 lives you can easyly aford to commit suicide at save places when time or energy os low. With this method I finished the game several times without ever being stuck in a wall or whatever.
Good luck

A simple trainer would be more suitable for the people out there.
99% of every c64 game is cracked, why make an exception here?

You're the first I hear complaining.
99% 'out there' (ab)use vice anyway.
They can use some AR6-crt-image,
OR LEARN HOW TO PLAY THAT GAME

Erm... I'm not a gamer - but wondering how the upper levels look like. :)

Why an AR6-crt-image should help on the real c64? :)
