Release id #11872 : Rick Dangerous2+7MHS
I'm wondering if there is a ONE-File version of this amazing game? (of course without the "cut-scenes") |

Maybe a better levelpacker would help to fit everything into 64KB? |

No can do. If you want this for your MMC, you'll simply have to freeze it, level by level and put each image on it. There's no way you can fit that game into one file. |

:-(
Anyway, thanks for the info! :)
Btw. What exactly do you mean with freeze? With AR of with some software? |

Guess it made some mistake. Of course it's impossible to fit the whole game into 64k. :D
But one level should work fine. :) |

1) In VICE, make sure your Action Replay is activated.
2) Load each level, use levelskip if needed.
3) At the start of each level, press >freeze<.
4) Enter the backup-menu. Choose what you see fit. Save.
5) For optimized size, crunch the freezing with Exomizer.
6) Repeat for each level.
Nu har du ful-freezar av alla levlar. Not harder than that. |

if you use AR, even in VICE it makes sense to reset with "configure memory" before you load.
Its filled with $bd then (or so), not just like vice.
The freezer recognises that pattern as unused by the program. This can save alot of data already, though admittedly exomizer would be quite efficient on 4KB of such a pattern :) |

Or if the game logic is the same for each level, maybe some modification (or heavy modification) of the code and additional table info with the gfx can be crunched.

Hi!
It works, but only with programs that arent't larger than 202 blocks. (If I save with Kernal mode) If larger AR saves the program in two parts. (loader+program)
I'm not yet sure how to merge both files...

Anyone can help?

Try this: http://www.rogepost.com/dn/qh3d
First level freezed by using AR6/Triad and the Exomizered (rules).

Thank you very much!
How can I make single files? |

Just run VICEa with inserted AR. THen boot a d64 image with RD. After each level just freeze the emulator "ALT+Z" and then save. Later crunch this long files with Exomizer.
Or just read the better info from 2flower :D |

Files will be merged automatically with Exomizer?
(I've tried it yesterday, but it produced only corrupted files (loader+data)) |

Use AR v6/Triad.
Hmm I think the AR always save freeze to one file not two :D Even longer then 202 blocks. |

True, there is no difference. :)
If you save with Kernal routines then it produces 2 files (if above 202 blocks)
Anyway, now it works fine. :D |
