;-) I wanted to explain why I'm doing this in the text when the compo launches but okay the thread is here.. so here comes... ;-)

I'm fed up with this ungrateful slacker overloaded lazy irresponsible scene. I'm fed up by all the empty debates around everything and constant decrease of enjoyability factor which is being replaced by bitching and arrogant demands beyond reason. I'm fed up by insecurity of some sceners who can't pull out new stuff because they need to "reach" their standard and are afraid of "shaking" their reputation (yes there are some of you who think that this (or similar one) is a good excuse for not composing ;-).

This is filling me with so much repulsion and hatred that it's harder and harder every time to start another event in the (cough) well established series. when it runs it's great and sometimes very enjoyable and heartwarming but then there is an end and the duties continue...

I think it's best to end something (more or less) succesful when it's on top.. maybe even beating (topping) everything that was done before (all I need is having 44 musicians participating in this compo then... ;-).

Don't worry I'm not quiting doing music compos, I'm just trying to finish C64.sk sidcompo with all the splendour and pathos (spiced up by my unique "I give a fuck..." style) I can imagine...

Ook, it's up now. Let's see what kind of surprises it brings this year.

Stainless Steel, if you wish to do so, feel free.
The full credits (+credited downloads) might be then added later.

I appreciate any help. It's kinda tiresome to add releases/musics one by one through formulars here (e.g. those huge listboxes are pretty annoying to look through).

I would rather not play guess the composer though ;-). It's quite easy game for some experts and it spoils the fun of the anonymous compo.

If a composer enters the compo, how "should" he vote his own tune? Top or bottom? - or "fair"?
Usually people either top vote themselves or don't vote for their own entries.
So, how does one _not_ vote for an entry?
- or should the entering composers simply refrain from voting?

Put your tune on bottom. IT's more or less a standard rule (I think I've mentioned it somewhere before)

It is checked manually by me before counting results so I will put it on bottom anyway if someone forgets.

to Creamd:

i dont think the world is full of ungreatfull bastards who dont wanna make new tunes.

all the sidcompos so far, have had a big number of entries,
and pushed the creation of some unforgettable tunes, that otherwise wouldnt have been made.

as long as 10+ composers participate, i see no reason to end this.

anger leads to the dark side

That's actually a good sign. Around the deadline week there could be a huge load of goodies, which would really pay off the wait. :)
