Booze got scared of the competition and recruited the whole group ;)

Ah, the old Horizon/MDT trick. Guess it's a Swedish thing :)

Seriously though, earlier this week I was thinking that these 2 groups should merge. Guess my brainwaves are stronger than I thought.

Our intention never was to kill Instinct. Well, now we did, so we are the evil ones. Sorry for that.

But honsetly.. can anyone count the number of demos that Instinct released on their own? It's been co-op demos almost all the way through. Both Booze and Instinct have been small groups for years, smaller than most other demo-groups on the scene, perhaps this merge will end up in something positive for the scene. We do believe it will be positive for ourselves already.

At least one positive thing already is that we're still the same number of active sceners after this merge, it's *only* one group less. Now you can throw your tomatoes in my face 8-).

Let he who is without sin, cast the first tomato:P

Really good move for both groups members. I don't see any negative thing in this case. RIP Instinct, long live the Booze:)

don't try to beat them - just eat them ;-)

a nice team you have now with some of the best remaining coders. congrats. but i hope no other top-groups will merge - because that makes the scene a little more boring when theres too less competition

Will be nice to see what comes out of this. Of course we expect even better productions now when the forces are officially joined and not just some "temporary fun coop". ;)

"Bosse" just got stronger! =) Fusions and transfers help revitalizing the scene. Looking forward to future releases!

I hope you realize this means war! So get ready for...

...something slightly lame and underdeveloped, given our track record. :-(

So I guess now I'll have to negotiate with the CEO of Booze design if I want to hire Archmage as a gfx-consultant? :)

Joking aside, I don't think it is that big of a deal which groupname people work under nowadays as it was back in the day.
Thankfully the scene is much more about friendship and cooperation nowadays and not so much about competition and rivalry.

Bah.. don't talk bad about competition and rivalry between groups! Of course it is important!

We try to keep our competition and rivalry within the group... like who does the best sprite multiplexer and who uses the least complicated method to do directory art and so on.

And welcome to Andreas, Håkon and Joel!

HCL+Crew: good move. If it allows for better production, morale, whatever... go for it. Other groups are already working harder in the competition department anyway.

The way I see it, sky-high expectations was one of the main obstacles for you guys at X this year. Don't know how this will help in that regard, but I can't wait to see what you'll cook up next time!

It saves me storing previous co-op entries in both a Booze and Instinct folder :)

Seriously; you guys are the greatest around these days imo, so I can only applaud this merge. Which I guess is more a name change than anything else.
