Release id #128961 : Datahacker 2.1 [German]
It's a tool for scripted brute force attacks on dialup login screens.
Wasn't sure if I should add this - the terminology used in the docs ("Datenreisender") implies that this comes from the German phreaking scene surrounding the CCC, not 'our' scene.
Not sure what the policy is, in case like this? Won't add a credit for "Moles" for now. |

generally there is no "our" scene - when its not a commercial program, and not made with some kind of tool (as in demo-designer, seuck, etc), then it probably belongs here. |

It sure belongs here just like dialup-scanners and other modem tools. |

Ok, thanks for the info.
So far I had assumed freeware utilities (i.e. stuff released through Fidonet or some of the commercial US networks) is not considered CSDb material, but Groepaz' reply seems to indicate otherwise?
The rules do mention freeware games, but they don't cover utilities. |

Definitely belongs here. There are more overlaps between demo/cracker scene and the phreaking/hacking one than one would think:)
(also, if you find more of this stuff, most welcome. nice find!) |

Heh, you're welcome ;)
You might also enjoy Nuascanner 64 [german] from the same author then. The disk even contains a tool that prints a long list of Datex-P access points ca. 1985. How's that for nostalgia :-P |
