Release id #149811 : Spindle 2.3
- selectable resident area - fixed $0c00-$0e00 seems not very comfy when music has to end before $2000 and placing it elsewhere is not quite an option ;)
- simple indexes in file list
Any chance for that? :) |

Selectable resident area: Good idea. I'll see what I can do to make this happen.
Index: Many have requested an abilitiy to seek in the stream or have multiple streams. Is this what you mean? It requires a redesign of the serial protocol and some other things, but I know that a lot of people want to have this, so I'm considering it. |

Exactly that - e.g. bookmarks in the stream list labeled 1-255, while 0 value is just stream of upcoming section like loader does so far. I skip to given bookmark by setting needed value before loader call :) |

another feature request Bubis wished for was to depack loaded data on user demand IIRC. so it doesnt takes up depacked size memory until needed. |

This can already be done manually, by simply giving Spindle a file with compressed data. The data won't compress further, so Spindle will just load it (and you still benefit from out-of-order loading). Then you call your own decruncher at the desired time.
The problem is of course that you have to reserve some space for your own decruncher. So the feature request is noted. |

I wonder where the first request comes from LOL but true, it would be very handy. |
