Event id #2621 : BCC Party #12
Good news, inspite of my leaving Berlin (just kidding, that was never a threat to the continuity of the party) and the old location no longer being rented to us (that was the true reason for doubt), the team has found a new place in the same district, so there WILL(!) be a BCC#12 in 2018! \o/
Short info:
free entry, donations welcome
competitions and prizes
breakfast and bbq
free coffee and tea
outdoor space w/o cars
Registration (in a perfect world on our homepage and not only here or on Facebook) is obligatory, this time, to help us planning. Here's the registry form:
http://berlinc64club.de/events/4/bcc-12/
(scroll a little)
We guess, about 40 people with plus 40 people without old erhm own hardware should fit. At the moment we do not expect that we have to close registration due to being overrun, but you never know :)
Place is called "Vereinshaus Goldregen", it's the club house of a Schrebergarten (<- German word for allotment gardens) colony, hence the tag line.
More info will follow in due time, here or on our homepage.
Cheers

Quoting Luca... so many hi-quality releases and some truly unexpected results :D The orga was as puzzled about certain results as everyone else and looked for explanations all day. Meanwhile, Hoeppie and me double-checked again what might have gone wrong.
We can assure you now there was no bug in the voting system script. But only 48 voters clicked the "SEND" button although 10 or 15 more were connected. More people would of course mean less weight of single strange votes. We also don't think that results are totally uspide down. But single voters seem to have been confused and voted upside down. We should have explained in greater detail or make it clearer/foolproof, probably, pressure due to delay might also be a reason for confusion and hurried explanation. If there is a next BCC (give us some time to recover, then we will talk about this year's problems and the future), improving voting will have high priority, promised.
Bottom line: Voters are no less to blame than artists who rank higher than they should. If anyone is to blame, it's us, the orga. We feel very bad about that as prize giving should be a happy ending of a great party and not the reason for bad mood. Please try to remember the fun nights and not only the weird results.
Sorry!

Please upload all C64 releases from the party. There is no reason not to do so. The stuff was shown to a wide audience at the party. If someone wants to polish his stuff he can still do and release it later as 101% or whatever.
But the actual shown stuffs should be uploaded here by the orga team (if someone wants itÂ’s release marked as party version that is fine) as they are. |

There was no rule about uploading compo stuff, so I asked, and we agreed that they won't upload it and I take the complaints.
I will upload both versions, compo and final (=international). But the "German only" version doesn't make make much sense to me for an international audience like CSDb.
Your mileage may vary. |

Hey Ninja, I didn't want to complain - and for sure not about you! But what you say sounds totally different from the post above "I am not allowed to upload" ! I do understand your point, and maybe TheRyk should have written it that way (but he was tired after the party like all of us, so no worries Ryk :-) )
Anyway - and that is my personal oppinion - I think what has been released at compo should be released here in the compo entry. Right away, not somewhere in the future. No matter if it is 100% or not, no matter if there will follow another (english or whatever) version. Again, that is just my point of view. |

lol apply your "German only" rule elsewhere and remove about 75-85% of csdb give or take a few.
just upload everything and feed the data monsters |

Thx 2 Ninja 4 getting the missing entry mystery clearer :)
Of course it's quite normal to up everything here, but there is no law forcing competitor or orga to do so, otherwise jail me and put me in one cell with Ninja ;)
Seriously: Some patience does not hurt that much, guys |
