Release id #184774 : 1kplay

Nice one, but:

Length must match waveform table as same offsets are used for both.

yes I know this instrument doesn't match the table above, it sounds better in this song though. :)

?!? Isn't all pitch data off by one after that instrument ?!?

Thanks Ian. The Links i found so far were all dead, this works.

I am currently making the source compile with Kick-Assembler after all.

did anyone already translate this to ACME or KickAss syntax? For someone like me who doesn't use more than a fistful of pseudo opcodes it seems to be less trivial than I thought ^^ Thanks in advance

thanks to dano's KickAss source, I managed to translate from KickAss to ACME now. if anyone's interested, tell me via PM or mail. I just refrain from posting it here as it's some 800 lines (including all those comments), also no idea what mods say if I add .asm file or .zip to 4-mat's entry...

"Which programming languages do you know and how proficient are you in them?"
"I am an expert in KickAss, DASM, ACM--"
"Those are all dialects of the same language, which we don't even əc-"

@Krill: Yeah, somehow it's perverted how stuff that's essentially producing 6510 assembler, must be "translated" so that crossassembler XYZ can compile it. Probably a matter of experience. One problem is as I said that I pewrsonally avoid pseudo stuff and macros and do "native" what ever I can. So whenever I'm confronted with stuff containing plenty of such stuff, it means some work. As I used to work with people using KickAss, KickAss->ACME is no problem anymore, whereas I've never heard of C64 users taking DASM before this release :)

@iAN: If it was translated correctly, the output .PRG should be 100% the same as in 4-Mat's release, I was just pondering if adding a .ZIP containing 1kplay_src_kickass.asm and 1kplay_src_acme.asm to spare some coders reinventing the wheel (doing what dano and me already did) or even disassembling (which would have been easier to do for me than "translating", but without 4-Mat's great source comment almost unusuable.

what ryk said. 100% identical output for doesn't really yield some new release. rather add the .asm files to the download would be most practical to me.

As the entry is locked, I just dumped upped the .ZIP containing both KickAss and ACME sources at C64scene Slack #code ^^ So !IF mods change their mind or anyone wants the sources, leech'em there
