Event id #146 : Porsgrunn Party
There is some stuff missing from this entry. Myself and The Islander was there, but I also remember Bob/Censor was there, Omega supreme/panoramic des. (and some other dudes who I believe was from the Pan.Des.). Dolla/The Ducks Incorporated was there.
There was a democompo, and there were 4-5-6 entries.
At the end of the party, a hellish foodwar broke out… Poor bastards having to clean that out.
Ps. You fucker who nicked my diskbox, I know who you are and I am coming for you! |

In the entry there is a external link to "Info+Results+Downloads" pointing to a non working url http://www.demondownload.dk/show_party.php?id=16
Upload what you have. |

Mostly Amiga, no mention anywhere of a C64 compo... TWW, any recollection of details? Releasing groups, production names...? Perhaps the party was mentioned in a C64 diskmag?
And please feel free to add all attendants you are sure of! |

Shape+TRC Party
This is the C64 party.
And yes, cleaning up the mess took a while. |

Yes, I was there, and the party was mostly Amiga. I can't remember any C64 compos, but there were a few cool Amiga demos :) |

Interesting, thanks to all contributors to solve that mystery!
But now I found something else: Extensor seems to be released at yet another party - in 1989 already. Checking the scrolltext, it says that this is the first release from Creators, which was founded in 1989.
Also the logo bears an 89 tag. Any more info on that maybe?! |

It might be released at Shape+TRC Party and at that point the whole Porsgrunn Party entry could be removed, not having anything to do with C64 releases. The fact the parties have been held in the same city might have confused also who added the release entry in the amiga party instead of the C64 party.
EDIT: the entry Porsgrunn Party was actually created for the 1989 C64 party (and at this point it's clear the Creators demo was actually released at the Shape 1989 party) but then in 2007 Glenn/Shape changed it for the 1991 Amiga party, creating the confusion... At least some stuff got logged so now makes sense why the mess.
I've fixed the Creators entry now, and got rid of the irrelevant amiga only party entry. |

hey
yes it was the 89 party where we attended and released Extensor. It was also submitted for the compo but probably last place 8-D
There were some (one/two/three?) more releases on the same disk which was handed in to the organizers for the compo (can't for life of me remember what) made by CTR. It was not screened during the compo (I asked the organizer to ignore it as it was very lame). Then my disk-box with the code got nicked. You could say that at an age of 13 I learned about backups hehe. Either way surely no loss.
Funny trivia: The "LAMER" stamp (anyone who fell asleep got tattooed with the LAMER stamp). |

Alright, cool - I somehow had in mind that the Shape/TRC-party was in 1991 as well for some reason. Now everything is clear! |
