Release id #252083 : The Last Demo
I found a quite lengthy way to record modulator output to a decent quality .mp4 video.
I want to share my findings here to keep them save for later use and to exchange with others.
Record The Last Demo from modulator

Source material gained from Aldi-C64(C64c) demodularized with a B&O MX4000(older Version), recorded with Sony Digital 8 Handycam, transfered to Windows XP with WinDV freeware over firewire. Conversion and mastering with ffmpeg on Win11.
This is the command for ffmpeg (version 2025-04-23):
ffmpeg -i source_full.avi -tune animation -c:v libx264 -crf 15 -c:a aac -b:a 256k -filter:v "bwdif=mode=1,fps=50,crop=in_w-2*27:in_h-2*20,pad=720:576:-1:1:color=black,eq=br ightness=0.02:saturation=1.7,fade=in:st=0:d=5,fade=out:st=2137:d=7" -af afade=in:st=0:d=5,afade=out:st=2137:d=7 thelastdemo_output_testpiece.mp4 -y
Somebody out there with modulator/demodulator experience? Is there a capture card to do this easier with the same level of quality?
