Handle id #12121 : Slaribartfast

Someone obviously has far too much spare time.

Can this mockery of CSDb be deleted?

Thanks.

Quoting Wanderer

The confirmation email from CSDB is sitting in the inbox for the account that belonged to Crudsmoker. I also wonder who owns the IDIRECT email account that was used as an alternative email address in case he forgot his password?

Quick question, how do you know what's in his email box without hacking into it - which would be, uhm, immature at best?

Quote: I'm told that with a Gmail secret question of "what do I like to smoke" it wasn't hard to gain access to the account :)

*chews popcorn*

An admission of guilt then. Illegally accessing gmail is serious shit, fucktard.

<hands the wacko a shovel>

Keep digging, it's almost deep enough to lie in now.

Ummm, how would you know whats in the inbox of the crudsmoker gmail account Wanderer?

Here's the funny thing - Slarts made absolutely zero attempts to cover his ass on this one, beyond the crudsmoker thing (which was more about making it a SWA release than anything). He freely spoke about it on irc, and for the 5 minutes it took him to knock together we all had a good laff about it.

So what you did was hack his gmail account, hack his csdb password, change his gmail password and then delete the SWA releases on csdb.

Ban!

Mate, at the end of the day I reckon youre just pissed that in 5 minutes coding and fucking around slarti produced something that eclipses all your pisspoor attempts at code.

LOL. This is funny. GMail accounts are easy-pie. I guess most web-based accounts are though. A pity that it comes to this, but people reap what they sow don't they.

I don't want to take sides in wanderer and slartis argument, and i'm not even sure who started it.

But i'm afraid someone deleted some SWA-releases from the database, and someone messed with some scener/group-entries. I've undeleted the releases again, but i hope you will keep your fighting to the forum and not in the database. I ask you not to turn this into the same kind of incident as the secret man incident allmost excatly 2 years ago.
We would rather not spend our holiday and exam-period dealing with stuff like this.

Please keep the fighting outside the database.

Happy newyear!

p.s. to the rest of you, please don't start a mass-locking hype.
Locking is usually a bad idea, openness is what makes CSDb what it is.

Style: oh, I'm not taking sides on who is right or wrong here. Just find this whole thing funny.

Cyber: Hmm reminds me when MacGyver deleted certain CSDB entries. Yet they weren't undeleted at all. Hmmm...

Let me be the first to call for Wanderer's banning.

Despite the nature of the xmas demo, all slarti did was upload a legitimate release. I could release a demo by XXX of YYY tomorrow and it would still be a legitimate scene release.

Instead of responding with an anti-slarti demo, wanderer hacks his email and then uses that to hack his csdb account to delete SWA releases.

If that isnt cause for a ban, i dont know what is.

Perff/Cyber, you need to act. This is getting beyond a joke.
