Release id #2493 : Road of Excess
Bob Stevenson credited for music? Not that it's impossible, in the end there are two tunes in that demo by unknown composers. Can anyone confirm he's the author of one of the two tunes in question? |

Quote: awww.. if he were a musician, he would've known Whittaker was one of the most skilled musicians on c64. It's just that his sounds were crap and shit and sucked and splashy snaredrum and strange slides and... (or maybe they shouldn't have been so stingy and buy a tighter snare drum)
LOL. Maybe David was just a graphic artist doing music after all. |

Aww come on, you just gotta love Dave's splashy snares and his odd instruments, that's what gave his tunes that special something.

are you sure you're using a c64 to compute it? |

mmm, this is getting confusing; Rob Whitaker is a gfx artist.. check some games like SWIV on c64.com. Ok, it's all in the double T that may make it impossible to compute... |

There are different versions out there of this demo with different tunes in it?
Here are two video captures, with different music in it:
Video capture 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcYRqoMZJ94
Video capture 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTk6og0SwMM
Awesome demo, way ahead of its time. Please, make a comeback to the C64 scene, Triangle!
X'2026 would be perfect, to make a comeback... |

I checked both, but looking at
https://youtu.be/AcYRqoMZJ94?si=_RyypvReRIAN5J2g&t=28
it says Rob Hubbard for the music which it clearly isn't. |

I thought about this, it is possible that this YouTube guy "Commodore 64 / Amiga Demos in 4K" played a other tune in the intro, durring recording or after recording.
This video from "Commodore 64 / Amiga Demos in 4K" is used on pouet. Maybe I ask to use the other link for pouet instead. |
