Release id #39571 : NinjaTracker V2.03
IMHO it's a really nice editor...
... but a few IMHO 'essential' (or let's call them useful) features are missing.
Ok, here some constructive criticism for this nifty editor:
- Note number could be entered automatically, since it has it's own column. (would save a lot of time)
- Channel muting. Really useful for finetuning (of testing) different voices.
- Multispeed 1x-12x...
- Disable/enable HR for each instrument (similar to the technique from GT2 which skips 1st frame)
cheers,

Wasn't the idea behind NinjaTracker that is was simple?
Correct me if I'm wrong, though... |

These features wouldn't change much.
At least the first 2 features. The rest isn't that important. (I guess) :) |

There is no channelmuting, because the editor playroutine is supposed to work just like the finalized tune playroutine: you know exactly how much rastertime it's going to take. And in any case, I consider the editor complete/finished now. It probably makes sense to only use NT for meeting strict memory use & rastertime demands, like in games/demos, not for general composing. |

About: "Note numbers are entered automagically"
But this would be possible without changing the Ninjatracker_2 concept?
This is actually a feature which I miss from every C64 based editor.
Anyway, I must admit that this editor is extremely powerful (it's somewhat like a magic editor).
Good stuff! |
