Tom was a super friendly guy from Texas. I first started modem trading games with him in 1984 when I still ran HAL BBS. Later when HAL was de-blitzed and found to have backdoors I put up a copy of "The Keep" BBS which was, of course, provided to me by Tom.
As far as I know he quit the scene before 1987.
