Release id #72027 : Sub Hunter +3 [pal/ntsc]

Ok, what does the rules has to say about this one?

The original? Tape supplied by Barracuda?

NTSC? (look at summaries from Richard).

just did a quick check in vice ntsc mode - cant notice any flicker there that wouldnt be there in pal mode too. (that said, i wouldnt trust vice, or any other emu, at all when it comes to ntsc - its broken everywhere)

edit: and the trainer screen clearly says "tape" (which is very obvious anyway, its a firstrelease, this cant be a recrack)

next time you complain please consider the following:

moderators will not actively check all and every release. if there is a release that you think should not be here because it violates said rules, use the "discuss this release" feature and post why it should be deleted and the moderators will then verify it and take care of it.

I have a NTSC C64 (and NTSC monitor). I've tested this on the REAL machine and I can't see any differences between NTSC and PAL version.

I knew I should have added protection to this game ;). It wouldn't have worked anyway! :o))

Release id #69703 : Chopper 1+5

A crack from a real original - which I own, no d64, t64 or any likewise australian shit-standard - this gets deleted because groepaz suspects it's a re-crack.

A fake credit added to a release, a fake release whatsoever - this gets to stay in here???
And you, yes you Groepaz, say the rules has nothing to do with WHO releases WHAT?
Allow me to laugh.

not at all. first of all it wasnt me who pointed out it should be deleted - i usually don't even look at those retarded cracks released these days, especially not if they are games already released 20 years ago. (the rule to post the reason in public was added right after that, hence no public post. that was admittedly bad luck for you)

and as i pointed out in the thread you link you, the rules clearly state that:

Quote:

each crack should somehow tell what kind of original was used (tape/ disk/cart ...).

...which this release doesn't.

how does any of this violate any of the rules? (and how can you tell that credit was indeed fake?)

no they don't. make a release that complies with the rules, and it will stay. and if onslaught or triad or anyone else makes a release that does not comply with the rules, it will get deleted.

that said, the rules also say that:

Quote:

If a crack is accepted at atleast two of the following sites, which have been "official" release sites for atleast a decade, it will always be counted as a valid release on CSDb:

The Digital Dungeon - ftp://ftp.scs-trc.net/pub/c64/
Banana Republic - ftp://ftp.elysium.pl/
Antidote - antidote.hopto.org:23 (telnet BBS)

and since it is available at TDD and also Antidote (i havent checked BR) it would stay here even IF everything you are complaining about would be a valid reason.
