Handle id #1403 : Calamity

do anyone know if the scener this scener really was the calamity who was a member of smashdesign? According to the upscroll of "second reality" the realname of the calamity in smashdesign was "Bodo Schmitz". (and the name of this scener is "Roland Moritsch")

So it seems like it is 2 DIFFERENT sceners...

BUT in the credit-list of Calamity there is a release called "Mystify" where he is credited that WAS made by smash designs.

So it seems like it is the SAME scener...

eeh... that is a contradiction... So, was it this Calamity who were in smashdesign, or was it another Calamity?

I remember a Calamity living in Austria who wrote a lot of articles for the german magazine Digital Talk. He was a graphician whose gfx weren't that bad.

Maybe this can help...

His real name is Roland Moritsch aka Calamity ex- Laxity/Smash Designs/ The Dreams. He has contacted me about year or two ago about what's happening in the scene today. From latest e-mail I got from him 24.5.2002. He moved to Switzerland. If you need his E-mail addy drop me a PM.

Hi,

my name is Roland Moritsch and I am the only one Calamity.
I was in following Groups Cream, Laxity, The Dreams and Smash Designs.
I did some Graphics for all of this groups (which my last graphics for Smash never got released....)and wrote articles in the german mag "Digital Talk" in its early days...

As I left School to go to work my main hobbies changed massively...

Since 2001 I am watching the scene continously and sometimes my fingers would like to take a joystick and paint some cool thing...

Calamity, old bugger! :-) That IS cool to see you here! I think you should give in to that urge to pixel, I am sure you will have fun again! You got talent, after all. And please let us see that unreleased work from back in the days!
Send me a PM, if you like; would be nice.
Cheers!
