Release id #83262 : Geisha 4

OK, we have release standards for cracks. Maybe we should discuss release standards for graphics, demo, and music releases as well?

By putting it like that, it'd sound reasonable :)

But.. i doubt we should.
A small difference would be that there're quite clear goals for cracks to achieve to be of 'value', where creativity should not have a predefined goal, neither a definition of 'allowed'/'guidelines for' techniques being used. It would kill many experiments and interesting paths to evolve.

i've seen much worse recently from other people ... =P

and i agree with sander. as much as i would like not to see some of the crap released recently in csdb, as much i am aware that some of that crap is considered art by some people =P

Well some people like experimental stuff from Joe and Nemtheanga, and some don't, but that's not what I'm referring to here. I'm talking about badly converted line art with wrong aspect ratio:

Geisha 2
Geisha 3
Geisha 4

Or files that don't even run:

Clown 75%

(I it crashes before the code runs as the 0314 vector is smashed, but even if you fix that the image data is corrupted, and the display code doesn't work).

His other two graphics releases are party submissions, which IMHO means that it's up to the party organizers to decide (and they obviously allowed it).

That looks like clip art. But seriously, since 2003 you still make the same crapola and no signs of progression or change of picture type is quite boring for other people in the scene to look at. :) 5077y
