Release id #41287 : UDPSlave 0.91
hello,
I just got a retro replay + RR-NET cartdrige. I tried the UDPSlave, but after I give RUN I get:
?DEVICE NOT PRESENT ERROR
I loaded the UDPSlave without the fast loader enabled (normal reset option)
If I load it from the fastload, the program seems to hang after giving:
OK
of course RR-NET is plugged in then clock port of the retro replay.
Any ideas?
regards,
Ready. |

UDPSlave printing "OK" basically means it detected your RR-Net. From there it goes into a loop where it is waiting to receive a packet.. I never tried it, but that's what it looks like quickly browsing through the src.
I'm guessing you need to poke in some IP/MAC addresses somewhere though, before it responds to anything!? - Did you read the doc?

i am using (rrnet-builtin) codenet to transfer most of the time, and netmon otherwise.
netmon is based on udp-slave
however, i need to start netmon 2-3 times (on c64) to get it running, maybe its a bug inherited from udpslave..
to check if your network is configured properly, codenet (start with F6) has ping builtin
hope this helps

UDPSlave should respond to pings when it's at the OK prompt. The homepage shows you how to set the IP address and has a few troubleshooting tips:
