Tetsuo's picture
Hi fellows!
I'm trying to track this Tetsuo's picture done in FLI, that was presented in C&A 1995 year, issue 8, won that month's compo.
Does any of you have this picture data or was it lost in the C&A? :-)
Here's the image: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByEhTYGX1W5CUDBEMHNZcy0zdFE |

There does not seem to be a Tetsuo in the database here. Did he go by some other handle as well? |

It is remotely possible that this was on the C&A Public Domain disks.
If not, then I, Voyager aka Bartek Dramczyk, and one more guy who first name was Robert, and the last name i do not remember were involved in those contests. Bartek might still have some disks with the stuff. But the chance is pretty slim.
Picture author did not necesarilly had to be involved in the scene. There were lots of images sent by nonscene c64 users. |

Thanks for quick replies. He was not involved in the scene, and thus why the handle is missing here.
Name of the picture is "Warrior", you can find a scanned page from C&A here:

The image is at bottom-left. He won the 1st place. The image was not included in the PD disk unfortunately.
@Jetboy Great to hear that there's still a chance that this pic is on someone's disk... how we can check this? :) |

The other 2 C64 pics from the compo are already found? If we know the titles, it could be an idea to search for those names as well, in the hope that the other pic is on the same disk. |

@slajerek i will try to summon Voyager here.
@bugjam Other names are: Inquisitor and Girl.
edit: my memory does not serve me well anymore. Voyager explained that the name of the other guy was Grzegorz not Robert. Trying to contact him. |

What is this program "FLImania" which he apparently used to draw the image? At least the text says so... |

The name of the artist seems to be right underneath the picture ;-)
According to this facebook post someone with the same name was at X2018 (together with Slajerek): https://www.facebook.com/slajerek/posts/10215221888832992
But then again, Slajerek already posted a reply here. |

FLIMania was made by:
Biuro Informatyczno-Wydawnicze
You can try to find more about company on google, they was producing games and tools as Jetboy said. But program was not included in Public Domain disk with mag.
Flimania was presented in C&A paper mag in 1995, you can download DJVU (and 2 disks) from here:
http://c64.com.pl/index.php/gazety/ca.html?mag=_ca95-8
Quoting MrAmmo According to this facebook post someone with the same name was at X2018 (together with Slajerek)
Tetsuo is currently Samar member, but it's not the same guy...
...
Generally there are quite many pics drawn for this paper mag (and others too), sent to mag staff for competition, printed. Jetboy was one of mag staff. |
