Aseprite

Hello all,

Has anyone used Aseprite for pixeling C64 graphics on PC? I currently use Project One but it seems a little unstable and buggy on Windows 10.

Aseprite on the other hand is regularly updated and looks good at a glance.

I'm inexperienced when it comes to C64 graphics - assuming all I need to look for is Koala mode?

Any help much appreciated.

Ahoy!

I use Aseprite for all my c64 graphics. I personally don't use any plugins, I do it by eye and clean it up, then import the .png to either Pixcen or Timanthenes or another software to convert.

However! Viza has put together several helper scripts you can find here: https://github.com/Viza74/c64helperscriptsforaseprite

I haven't used them yet, but I am sure it makes the process easier. Aseprite is a really great program for pixel art overall. Great for animations too. I recommend it.

The scripts seem to error out for me :-( there is some extra guides on the link you sent, I'll give them a follow through and see if I can figure it out! thank you!
