Setting preferred background colour in a hires picture

Hi CSDB. As the title suggest, I haven't been able to find a way in Multipaint or Pixcen to tell which colour is to be the preferred background colour. I'm a novice with Multipaint, so I might have missed something. Optimally, I would be able to define a priority list of colours to be used as background / foreground, but even being able to just easily manipulate (ie swap colour nybbles and invert bitmap data) which colour is background and which foreground per character block would do. Does either of the mentioned programs have something like this hidden from me or is there a software that I'm not aware of that can do this? Something that works in Windows would be nice, but C64 will do too.

Funkpaint can do this. Use SHIFT+X in zoom mode to show what's background and foreground. Then press SHIFT+C on blocks where it's the wrong way around.

Thanks Soci, will give FunkPaint a go next week. Seems pretty cool for a native editor.
