Joystick on PC for VICE ??
Hi everybody!
I have been looking around the forum, but not found what I was looking for!
So here we go:
Is there any way I can use a joystick on my PC and make it work in VICE emulator ????
Either an adapter for a real c64 joystick or just a PC joystick!

Modding a joystick/gamepad.. Nice one!
Well I do know how to use a solderingiron but maybe it's just a little too much for now!

Now I will try to hunt down an old 'The Arcade' joystick for c64 (One button in front model)

The Arcade Joytick, my favourite 8bit era Joystick design of all time.
The Arcade Joystick comes up on ebay from time to time. I tried on many occasions to win one, and couldn't believe how popular they are. Some months ago someone was selling one on ebay boxed never been used. I stopped bidding at £25, and it sold in the end for £60+
I have one now, but it is not black like the one I lost during a scene party. The Arcade Joytick I have now is dark and light grey/beige similar to a 1541. It might sound odd, but it looks pretty good.

Yes but you also need a usb adapter to use these old joysticks on pc.

the usb joystick ninja gave url to, works fine in vice (linux/windows) find a local speedlink.com dealer and get it :) |

Are these joysticks from Ninja's url different from the black and red Speedlink USB Competition Pro (SL-6602) I bought? These ones are much too stiff to use them properly on pc. |

FUCK!!!
The cable I ordered from the US has arrived at the Danish Post Office!
BUT!!! After having paid $19 already, the Danish Post Office + Tax and Duty wants another $19 before I can have it!!!
Hell no!! They can keep it!
For those money I can buy the usb version instead!!
Lesson learnt: I NEVER buy stuff from US again. Ever!
PS The Competition Pro USB version has been ordered =) |

I found two ways of connecting a joystick to the parallel port.
Which one is the one that works with Vice, if any?
