"The Great Commodore 64 Megamix"
Hey all.
I was talking with Shine on facebook for a little while and he asked me a question nobody has ever asked me, what are my favorite sids and could I upload 5-10 of them. I gave him some of the sids I listen to (and play guitar to as well).
I started talking about this mega-mix that I've had for years and I have no clue who made the mix. I was thinking of making a "video" for youtube, so everyone can enjoy this marvelous mix. The mix is a little over 67 minutes and uses nothing but c64 musics. It starts with a classic (The last Ninja) and plays other well known songs. In some areas, I think the music could have been mixed a little better, but you really don't seem to care.
The name I have it filed under, and the name it was called when I originally downloaded it is "The Great Commodore 64 Megamix" and I am sharing it here: http://www.mediafire.com/listen/9g964sfvkteboc0/TGC64M.mp3
I have no idea if there limits using this site. I know you can either listen to it, or download it. The complete file should be 92.4mb.
I was hoping all who download it, can contribute to a tracklist and when that is finally accomplished, perhaps a video playing the music with pictures from the original games/demos where these musics originated and perhaps a screen shot of who composed the music, when and a history (a video slideshow).
I won't keep you all here. Listen to the music. Share it. Enjoy it. |

FYI, those are remixes of C64 songs, not actual C64 music. |

@Mr. Sid, Thanks for that. The "Instant Remedies" I have are from 2000 to 2008.
I also have 3 cd's released by a VBR, called "Back in time, Back in time II and back in time 3: A space odyssey". Then I have 5 other mp3's about the same size as the one I'm sharing, called "Commodore 64 Megamix Vol.1 - Vol.5"
I just don't know if any of what I have is available to the public, or even if y'all have heard of any of these mixes. I really want to share it all my friends.
If anything I've listed sounds good, perhaps we should figure a better way to share?
@Rough.. Downloading it now and really looking forward to hearing it. Thanks! |

The three Back in Time CDs are commercial products available from c64audio.com. |

"released by a VBR"?
Vbr stands for variable bitrate. It is a term used in the mp3 scene and surely not a releaser (it's probably part of the file names at the end, isn't it?)

Use Speedyshare instead of Mediafire. Quick, easy and no registering required. |

Rough, see.. This is why I like coming here. I didn't know VBR was variable bitrate. I learned something new today :D |
