Anyone want their tune featured in a demo being released this weekend?
Hi there... I am wondering if anyone has a nice little tune they would like featured in our wild entry being released this weekend.
It has a fun world-first in it, I cannot talk too much about this yet, but I am hoping it gets featured quite a bit beyond just the demoscene...
So I would be eternally grateful if a composer would like to lend a tune for this!
Regards

Hi guys, just following up that thread... it's not dead - but we delayed releasing. I have some updates.
1. We have a release we are working on for a SIGGRAPH demoscene event invitro. I can share graphics now and over the next few days I can provide a working demo with placeholder music.
2. The release that we were hoping to do for Flashback has been postponed until the SIGGRAPH event in November. As soon as I have a working shell for you to play with I can share it...
Thanks for everyone's support! |

Quoting ZIGCompo deadline is in 48 hours, that is like a lifetime. True - at least in the old days, where you could ask a musician if they wanted to compose something at a party, and they would say "sure, just need to borrow your computer for 1-2 hours" and then they would sit with headphones in a noisy hall and compose something like Drudgery. But of course, that was in the same period where Oxyron would release a demo every two weeks, so I guess everyone were faster back then. |

I guess "composing" back then also usually didn't start with writing 1000 lines of filter and wave tables for every instrument just to keep up with your competitors ;-P |

Quoting Cruzerand then they would sit with headphones in a noisy hall and compose something like Drudgery. Man, that tune immediately makes me want to code some never-seen-before colourful raster effect with ever-changing parameters, that one can watch for hours. =) |

What keeps you from actually doing it Gunnar? Old age? ;) |

Quoting JackAsserWhat keeps you from actually doing it Gunnar? Old age? ;) Right now, my general tendency to one-track-minding the latest pending release, then a never-shrinking backlog of other projects postponed by a delay on said pending release, deadlines attached to said backlog projects... and actually not having any idea for an oldschoolish raster effect yet in the drafts folder (IIRC), yet-unseen or not. And maybe, indirectly, a little bit of old age, yeah. =) |

@CreaMD if you're still interested, should I PM you links to gfx and D64 images?
@Scarzix are you interested in doing anything for the release in November? I can send you details on the project via PM as well if you're interested. |
