Handle 2239 - Inertia - fake musician
While ripping some tunes for HVSC i just realised that this musician used some of original Fozzie's tunes in his productions as his own ones. For example music from demo Digital Twilight by Arcane credited for Inertia is exactly the same like /VARIOUS/A-F/Fozzie/Refridgerator.sid
This guy simply changed credits inside some of the Fozzie's tunes (look at binary from $1020).Probably he never composed any tune on C64. But he is not answering to any questions about this problem and locked productions on csdb, where he is "credited". |

True, this is really lame. Not the first time in C64 history this happened, but that doesn't make it any better. :-/ |

that's quite easy to guess that you typed ;-) but it's also lame to use people to translate texts and never give a credit , isn't it ? |

I don't think it´s correct, that giving credit for others work to one self.
But she/he could have ripped the tune and didn't know who had made it, and instead of typeing I ripped this tune from xxxx on this game/intro/demo or whatever, in the production it was used in, because he/she forget's information or have some misinformation about the ripped tune is something else, all can forget something I guess, but if it continues, then not good.
But it's a little strange that no answer if you write to her/him Ramos then I'm agree with you Ramos.

This case was closed a long time ago... after I talked to Ramos and Steppe about "Inertia".

I thought about this fake musician and I'm just wonder how to give the credits to him in the productions ? we should replace his credits as musician to "ripper" I think. |

Exactly the way to go, Pawel.
I don't want to accuse Inertia of deliberately adorning himself with borrowed plumes. Someone may just have found a disk with a lot of files called INERTIA_01.PRG, INERTIA_02.PRG, etc on it and decided to use them in various productions without further thinking about it. That's how life goes... ;-) |
