3+1 & Digi-boost

Last time I was playing around again a bit with digi-organizer, but I can say I'm not really happy with it.
Sure, it's quite easy to use in comparison to other 3+1 players, but today is out of date (I think)
I really don't like the old 658x chips, and digi-organizer works only with them..!?
So, why not write a new one? One that has the main functions like Amiga-Trackers? (looping instruments, vibrato, volume...)
Just think: sample some frames of a waveform (square, triangle, or whatever) and loop it forever; this not only would save a lot of sample space, but even could be used for playing the digi-channel like all the others SID voices.
I do not want play only simple drum samples on 4 channel, I want to have more.... even we have just a "inefficient" cpu power. :-O

Digi-boost: I know that TAXIM used for his 3+1 tunes (8580 chip) some kind of sofware digi-boost (it works quite fine)
