SID music with *that* speech

http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=38792&show=review
The latest tune that uses *that* speech. Is there a name for it? there was a demo released some time ago with a tune that also uses *that* speech. Is there a proper name for it? hows it created? is there a program made just for this effect (or is it simply something ported from PC).

oh, so many questions :)

/just wondering how many Sid tunes there are that use this technique (not including tunes that simply use 2/4 bit samples for drums, guitar, MoN speech (Turbo Outrun) to name a few)

you might want to check the actual speech synthesis thread, there's quite some links listed.

also, this can be done in any editor, using sync and ringmod and a big portion of patience.

ah, i was under the impression there was some *new* program released that allows users to simply type in words and out spits the superconpressed speech data that can then be used in various sid music editors.

There is a program on the C64 that allows this to be done, although i think it uses a stack of memory and raster time.

it's not speech. that's a singing wannabe, sacrificing the clearliness for exact pitch.
this one is quite similar conceptually, but slightly more interesting I think, using mainly $57 wave instead of traditional $17:
