Sid Music and Sound FX
hello, 2 things: 'Music and Sound FX'
Tdm composed a really good tune called 'Leningrad'. I was just wondering if anyone else knows (off the top of their head) andy other Russian themed sid tunes.
I was looking for a 'wind blowing' sound effect. I cannot think of any games what had such an effect. Tim Follin's Ghosts n'Ghouls had great rain sounds, and Jeroen Tel had the sound of waves on his Turbo Outrun mix (although that possibly used sound samples).

Managed to find a tune that features the sound of the wind blowing. Actually i found 2 tunes, although 1 of the tunes has wind SFX that sound like the wind and white noise.
We all had to have Russian lessons so we could welcome our new overlords, just in case they won the arms race :)

I think those days have long past. Although after a visit to Bulgaria last year, it appears the Bulgarians do not trust the Russians very much, to quote a Bulgarian "these people are no good". Maybe there is simply a small lack of understanding between the two countries. The Russians like to holiday in Bulgaria (as do the Germans and now the english).
Here in the UK French lessons are no.1 followed by German, followed by Spanish. |

Quote: there's also a russian tune (adaption of "katjuscha") in our (gaston+myself) game-music for "roll over". I kinda liked that song (we had to sing it at school, in our russian-lessons ;-))
Is the tune in the HVSC, if so, what is it called :) |

will check them out. thanks. They should not have put them together..
Comer has created a good Russian tune. Although i think Tdm has possibly pulled out all the sid stops in making Live in leningrad. Noticed Zyron has had a crack at a Russian tune too (it is a little on the bouncy side).
Found a tune by David Dewar called Twin Russian, it's not bad. The really defined sound shapes reminds me of Rob Hubard sounds from time to time with this tune. Sadly as with may Sid tunes, it starts of really well and then looses its way. |
