Oswald imagine if you ever had achieved something like GrG did. When some unscrupulous producer samples out his stuff that is based on stuff composed by Tempest and then let pop star (Nelly Furtado) sing around it. How would you feel if that retard laughed about you and called you an idiot?
Imagine you would be a worthy coder. You did stuff that serves the purpose and earns money to it's owner, and that stuff (or part of it) was stolen from you and attributed to other person who distributes it as his creation. Most people would back you up and sympathy with you if you tried to fight for your author's rights. I'm quite sure. How would you feel if someone (let's say, someone like your favourite moderator person Groepaz) laugh about you.
I remember the times when you were upset that some of your things got "censored" etc. How you went berserk on forum and started new threads in the fight for what.. democracy? freedom of speech? csdb user rights? That had higher importance? Why?
Now you started this thread with purpose of mocking up the situation of mainstream composers sampling out scene musicians to enhance their creations with original and unusual flavour of sound.
I don't say that what you do is completely stupid, humorless and retard. Someone will maybe find it funny. Some people call other people village idiots, and other people find it funny either. That's how our world works.

Roman, you get me wrong. Glenn&Tempest has my moral support, but on the other hand I find it funny how their case created this "sid stealing" hype. There were even false alarms.. There were a lot of sid musicians stealing from the "real world" many even getting money for it, no 64ers cried out loud then...
People should be rather proud that the oldschool SID flavour made it into some of the mainstream music and gets some recognition. |
