An easy tracker
Is there other crossplatform besides goat tracker? A friend of mine wants to compose some sid tunes but he is finding goattracker too complex.

hey come on. it's not like you have to know tons of complicated stuff to make some sounds with the sid, even i can do that. (and if nothing helps, you can always steal instruments from existing tunes).
saying "i cant use this tracker because i don't know the sid" is like saying "i cant play van halen because i dont know what a guitar is" - no shit sherlok. if you want to do something, you gotta learn about it :)

i am not into the technical stuff about the sid, i just use the sdi editor, and i master the editor. not knowing the inner workings of the sid chip, dont prevent me from making exactly what i want.
so there goes that silly theory of yours.. |

of course you know the technical stuff like what adsr is and how it works. and how the filter works and what waveforms you can use, and what values corrospond to all that stuff. dont be silly. |

the key reference card is made by Devia :D
if you just look at the ref card, you run away screaming, because you can see all the things that you can do in SDI. so you get scared.
but if you see my videos, you see how straight forward it is, and thats why i am making them - to un-complicate things (for the noobs) :D |

hmm i cannot find the reference card release page.
the dl works, but where is the release id ?
its not under rambones, or devia, and the csdb search machine is hopeless.. :D
it should be placed on Devia's page..

it was never relaeased :-P ..just linked to from some forum thread, iirc.
It needs an update.. some of the Pulse/Filter prg description is either incorrect, vague og seriously misleading... but I forgot how exactly ;-) |

Well, my friends have quited trying to make the sid music, so I am asking here is someone is interested in versioning the AY tunes to the sid, of course they must be revamped to show that the SID is 1000000x superior ;)
