SDI play sounds without record notes
hi,
im new in sdi and my first question at the beginng is, how can i play my sound without record the notes in the trackview or play the song?
Is there a single play mode for testing my sounds or simple playing around with the sounds?
Thx for help. |

I don't think there is a freeplay mode per se.
Though I wont rule out the possibility of there being one and i just don't know it.
Which seems kind of odd now that i come to think of it.

F4 to make blue bar
now you can record notes
CBM+1 or 2 or 3 to mute the channel you will play on
go stand on the muted channel
F1 to play
now it plays on that muted channel, when you press keys
which means, you CANT play notes, unless the music is playing.. |

Make sure that "cursor jump" is set to zero.
When you start SDI this value is set to 01, use SHIFT+A and CBM+A to set it to 00.
Now you can press F4 (blue mode) and play without having to worry about your notes being recorded.
PS:
I've noticed a bug with red mode, if you have speed calls set to anything other than 1, you can't use "play along with channel turned off" the intstrument gets cut off. |
