What happened to scener's photos? Is this a bug or some kind of a privacy issue... stuff?
Just as the title says ^

Quote: The funny thing with GPDR.. I don't think anyone will track and follow whatever you're doing. I'm not doing a jack shit with my business website to make it more GPDR-compliant. Come and jail me. Oh, and I don't have that piece of paper around that I should have to show if anyone asks.
GDPR is meant for your customers. Your customers are your income, no? |

Sure. I just think the GDPR decision was rushed and it's a too big, one size fits all solution to a very real problem. For a small business like mine, with no client database to speak of. |

GDPR: 15 years in the making (first proposal on 22-06-2011). It entered into force on 24-05-2016. After a leniency period of two years, the local data protection agencies have received their power to actually enforce the regulation. This was May last (2018).
I would not call this a rushed decision. |

@Sense: After all, it's users who up their profile including pics, so I think blaming site admins for spread of stoned photos due to GDPR is kinda stupid even if it is possible now. Though I wouldn't like what has just happened to a bunch of German politicians (private data published by some skript kid), I sometimes think you can not protect attention whores from their own stupidity
@Run-your-own-CSDb killer argument: Hey, all we're saying is that if someone wants to cause trouble for the host of a warez database, he will finde other reasons than GDPR anyway. |

the problem are users who add this kind of data for other sceners, not themselves. and thats much more common than you think :) |

Does not help as you are still linking them and includes them in the database. |

Easiest way to convince you:
Think of all the c64 sceners here, and honestly say you don't think 1 of them is crazy enough to start complaining? :)
A valid complaint for breaching GDPR as a 'organisation' (which CSDB is) can result in monetary penalty, requiring organisations to pay up to £500,000 for serious breaches of the Data Protection Act occurring on or after 6 April 2010 |

You've must have been looking at some old UK data protection act (hence the GBP in the fine). GDPR exists since 2016 and is in full effect since end may 2018. |

Ah yes. I copied that from a google link, since I didn't know the amounts. Didn't read the sentence quite right I guess . But again: it costs a lot! |
