Message gets lost

Has happened to me twice now, when I take about two hours to write a message, it disappears when I submit it. No error is given. The message just doesn't get entered.

Damn it, that was Groepaz who broke the site when he was searching for Vision and pressed the wrong button!
Now posts get lost, topics are closing automagically... It's all over, farewell CSDb!! :(

LOL. I had this problem the first time some time ago, so I don't think it was groepaz... I've heard rumors of the self-proclaimed 1337 sceners leaving already, which is good, of course.

If you write something here for too long time, it might happen that your session expires. It's click back button in browser and then forward and confirm "repost" of the formular. Someone else was asking the same question as far as I remember (probably cruzer/cml)

yeah it's a time-out error.

my tip -> write your message in word/notepad/whatever and copy+paste

also helps improving spelling mistakes :)

Yep, happened to me a lot of times as well - actually in my case I'm quite sure it wasn't about an expired session yet because someone posted a message while I was writing my post. The back&forward thing worked fine in Opera but the same trick wasn't so helpful in Firefox as I have always lost the text I wrote. Dunno about IE though.

Yup. Using Firefox here and both times the message was gone. Your loss. ;)

Dunno how the session expires, because I normally never get logged out by timeout. I guess there is some deeper magic going on with loading specific pages?
