Additional Categories?
IMO some things beed to be added...
- "Inactive" members, in addition to "active" and "former"
- "Concept" credits, in addition to "idea" and "storyboard"
- "Public Relations" to scener function
- "C64 related website" to release types
- "C64 hardware" for things like e.g. 4 player adapters =) |

About the 'Inactive member' thing.
We have heard this a lot of times, and we will fix it as soon as possible.
The only problem is that we need to change the DB-design which is not so simple, so it is not something that is done in 5 minutes like adding other categories etc.
Just to let you know - we are aware of the problem and will look into it asap. |

"Inactive" members, "Concept" credit and "C64 Hardware" releasetype done.
Please explain what you mean by "Public Relations" to scener function.

Nice!
Good you didn't add "C64 related website", cause then I would be scener, too! (Which would be far from correct...)

To Kilroy : in Role we have a member with the function Public Relations, which means that this member makes publicity around our group (like putting Role in many search-areas on the net, party-promoting,...). Maybe this info can help you understand it better...

I didn't mean to imply that having a website makes you a scener, but e.g. the padua guys created COCOS and the C64 Banner Exchange, it would be kinda nice to able to add that info to the database. |

Also there are some websites dedicated to specific releases. Like f.e. "OdinTracker". Most of the "other platform C64-Tools" also have a website made for these releases alone. So it would be nice with a website for releases too.

Seven, yeah I agree. COCOS and Banner-ex are one of the few sites which can be really considered as valuable for the scene and definitely they are worth mentioning in the databse like this. |

Steppe: if you have a CSDB account, you're a scener! :-) |

Maybe an idea? Adding "Organised by" to the releases-credits... Like in our diskmag Rock'n Role we have an organiser of the diskmag, someone who organises the chapters, new ideas, changes and so...

Hehe, commander, that would be an interesting discussion: "What qualifies oneself to be called a scener?".
IMHO, having composed 8 Soundmonitor tunes that were never released and having a demo related website is definitely not enough. :-]
But hey, we all do it for the fun, that's what matters in the end! ;-) |

imo that is what's usually called the "editor"... it's possible to add that for scener's function, but not for the release credit... either "editor" should be added to release credits or you need to use "idea" and "concept" for that...
both versions would make sense to me, so I don't care =) |

Idea for new release type: "joke demo", "crapmo", or what you call it. This would be fitting for demos like Ranslirpa/CML and Spik i Foten/Booze Design. |

I think the official category (as set by the ANSI comitee (c) 1960-2002 (founded by loren hill) and GNU ("GNU not linux") (c) 1898-2002 and MicroSoft (c) 1743-2002) is "fake demo".
I agree with Cruzer, it would be nice to have such a release-type category added. |
