(PMs) Feature, bug or something else?
Hi boys'N'girls!
I am wondering about the message system.
1. You can send blank (empty) messages.
2. You can send messages to yourself.
Are this useful or even wanted in some cases? ;) |

I've used sending myself PMs on various forums in the past to send a note to myself. I can delete it later. |

It's clearly a performance feature. Testing for a blank or self-addressed message would complicate the code, and waste several bytes and clock cycles on the server.
(Tongue in cheek, but serious in a way. Software should be simple and follow your orders.) |
