Extend search to scrolltexts?
Hi all,
I have been adding a few releases with scrolltexts. Crossed my mind if it would be possible to extend CSDb search to those as well? |

I am pretty sure Perff has many more issues on his list so don't expect that anytime soon. |

No, I'm not expecting instant implementation. :)
I'm sure that there is way more important unresolved issues, this is just an idea to consider. |

Very cool! I'd missed that. Does seem to miss quite a bit of parts in my old press space demos though. I guess it's sort of tricky to follow the manually splitted linkage. |

See the FAQ https://scrolltexts.com/faq on how the texts are harvested :) |

sadly what I typed 20+ years ago , may not reflect today..
but now I know saddo's are converting them for "ears that shouldn't be listening" .. I will type loads of *BS* that the snowflakes will love / get offended by as a result.
whats past is past.. sadly some folk don't get that. |

Cheers!
@Zyron: great hint! I didn't know about that site.
and a little OT: has there ever been a site/project on the net that archives the (textual)content of diskmags to make it searchable? I have the feeling there has been something like that or I just have dreamed about it. ;) Any idea? |

Yeah, scrolltexts.com exists, yes. Unfortunately it lacks anything recent and has only first part scrolltexts of multipart demos like @tlr said. I would really like to see more coverage.
Actually sounds like a great diy project. As a matter of fact I already created something kludgy that can travel past at least some multipart demos and collect memory dumps and screenshots on the way. Let see if that progresses into something usable some day. :) |
