Credit for music ripping?
Could we have the possibility to set a credit for "ripp"? There are a lot of "ripp-demos" around 85-87, where the main effort is ripping the music out. (e.g No Comments, NSC Sounds XIV) I usually put this credit down as "crack", but it would be nice to have a bit more nuance... |

btw, it makes no sense if crackers dont add credits for the creators of the game too. |

Rip is fine with me. "Ripping" would be fine aswell, compared to "Linking".

Nice addition. Now I can add credit for music ripping to those demos where I didnt do the rip myself.
As for the demo "no comment" , shouldnt it have "text: mr.z&ixion" in the credits too?

Ripping code was a bad thing yes, and ripping music from others' demos was considered lame. But not ripping from games (that would be a 'good' rip). Of course there should be a credit type called "Ripping" or "Music ripped by" or what ever (and the original composer should OF COURSE be credited too). I think that everything that's been done for a demo should be credited for, no matter if it's good or bad. That's how we do it on C64hq, and I think that's the best and the fairest way. |

Yes. Didn't read the scroll actually. Just added the rip credit from memory. Added now. |

What would be even better is if after the "Music: Martin Galway" was a symbol with a link to the SID.
