improving release entries for cracks

... so, as mentioned here First Release recognition and elsewhere before, the release entries need some improvement to be able to properly reflect all data that we'd want for cracks... so we will do a similar thing as with the bbs entries, spill your ideas here, i'll collect them and make a draft for perff and put it on his todo list :)

so i guess the most important things would be additional flags:
- firstrelease
- pal first (when it was released on ntsc before)
- ntsc first (when it was out on pal before)

what about number of trainers and all the other mumbowumbo that ppl like to encode in filenames (and releasenames too) ... would be really nice to move all that stuff into real database fields (its kinda not very useful in the releasenames =P)

anyway, for a start, just keep it coming :)

Well, this [NTSC / PAL] in the file name is kinda annoying. I think we should stick to tradition (16 characters max. in directory line!).

F.E;

Trainers (no double trainer nonsense)
F = PAL / NTSC Fixed
D = Documentation or "docs"
P = Passwords listed
H = Hi-score saver installed
T = Translation of text or graphics into English
S = Solution
R = REU compatible

Regarding trophy. How big should it be? What symbols should be for NTSC first or PAL first or NTSC/PAL fixed (English versus US flags e.g.?)

EDIT: actually, found some old graphics for the Onslaught website that might be an indicator:

= First Release

= NTSC/PAL fixed

reminds me that theres no way to add the credits for translators. people put it in the comments now which isnt a good solution.

Good point. Translating is quite a difficult job (when done properly).

err no. read what i wrote again. the idea is to get rid of all that clutter alltogether and put it into real database field, its useless in the releasename :)

Groepaz: I agree, but I meant that we could still use the abbreviations in different fields, to keep with tradition.
