JukeBox Playlist player
Hi fellow sceners!
Together with Mojzesh/Arise we are mocking up a JukeBox Playlist feature for C64 Debugger. The idea is to have a sofa-scener playlist player with transitions, graphics overlays etc. so demos can be played automatically in selected order. You can see a draft example of how this works here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxJFOGfo3QY (json format is wip...)
This can be also used for automated tests, dumping memory in selected frames, setting warp on/off, switching disks, etc. Overall automated debugging tool, and it would be good to nail down the format structure once for all... at least for next years :-)
So everything is clear, but of course there is a problem - when such a player should switch disks in multi-disk demos? :) Now user can create action to switch disk after some selected time. But this needs to be set manually... Mojzesh is creating a tool that will be able to create such playlists based on some common format, so we thought to create a web page where sceners will be able to put these values to share with others, literally enter time when disks should be switched, spaces pressed etc. to have a smooth automatic sofa-scener experience... and a tool to create playlists based on that is being created.
Such tool seems perfect to be integrated with CSDB somehow. We are thinking about some common format that can be included with release to have this done. Long story short: what do you think should be definitely included in such sofa-scener playlist entry? Any other thoughts maybe?
Thanks & greets,
