When should a someone be listed as "C64 scener" on CSDb?

Dear CSDb gods ... erm ... mods, I seek your wisdom!

As some of you may have already noticed Epyx and me tend to release partyscoller intros regularly for our TSA / DevLab meetings where anyone attending can type in a part of the scrolltext.

Of course I wouldn't think about adding every alcoholic or pothead who happens to be around to CSDb just to give "text" credits.

But now I have the case that one of our regular party "visitors" joined TSA. Not as C64 coder / graphician / musician but as "general" coder / Linux sysop guy.

And as other folks that are no TSA members he did write some scrolltexts in our C64 partyscrollers now. So he hasn't joined the group for C64 stuff, but was already kind of "involved" in C64 releases.

Should I make an entry for him here or not? *shrug*

Half of the sceners in the db never contributed more to a C64 production than that - if at all :D

What I - not speaking as your MYD! mate but as your CSDB liege (I wouldn't define us as Gods, not even demigods, I think addressing us as "your Highnesses" does it) - wonder:
Is the difference between SCENER ENTRY and ACCOUNT crystal clear?

As "sceners" you can indeed create entries for

or anyone who is member of your group TSA (in case you're unsure with "Unknown Function".

Cheers

We do have group functions for sysops, public relations and othen roles not directly related to activities on the C64 itself, so I would think it is ok to add him, also as group member, and credot him.

But they should still be related to C64 activity to have an entry. We don't add Amiga musicians to even well known groups, if they didn't actively aimed for C64 at some point.

If in doubt, just add them as "tester"

Okay, thanks for the input. I added him.

@TheRyk: of course I won't start adding the makerspace people or drinking buddies of sceners as a scener here, just because they typed in a scrolltext.
