Credit where credit is due
I was just wondering how uploaders deal with the situation when a group is credited for something in a demo? An example would be demos where a music label is credited instead of the actual composer in that music group. I ask since it's not possible to credit a group most of the time. |

Often it's kind of easy to find out when it comes to music. If for instance Maniacs of Noice or FAME is credited, just open up HVSC and run through some tunes to find it, since they're sorted under the respective author. In the cases where people have cooperated on the tunes (Mitch&Danes stuff in Crestology, Bluez Muz' stuff for Fairlight and so on) then credit all of the musicians taking part.
When it comes to graphics and so on, there's harder research to go through, if it's made by f.ex Plasma Design, but you don't know who in the group, or those two fantastic folks from Sunrise. But generally, you should check out who did who and not just credit a group. Do you have an example which is a hard judged case? |

Well thats true but I just uploaded a demo where manaics of noise made one of the tunes and it's just insane to listen through all tunes made by maniacs of noise. In this case it would be a lot easier to just credit maniacs of noise. Oh well might find out one day and add that credit if noone beats me to it. I'm talking about the last part in Distinction/Eltronic. |

It's Savage by Jeroen Tel. You've also missed the Matt Gray tune in part 3 ;) |
