screenshots?
Anyone knows the best way to create screenshots? I tried ccs64 with pal emu, but wonder if there is a way to get a better result.

Try the vice emulator.. works in a window, makes snapshot in the appropriate fyletype, and ya can immediatly update |

If you're thinking about making screenshots in C64 quality, i don't think there are any emulators or programs which will give you TRUE C64 graphics (but i could be wrong). Guess you need some hardware to grab screenshots from the C64 or TV itself, or something, if you want real C64 graphics.
But a normal non-perfect screenshot is TOTALLY good enough. |

with ccs64 you CAN make "perfect" screenshots if you switch on the pal-palette emulation.... same thing will work in next VICE release aswell. |

You can get decent screenshots in both VICE and CCS64, considered you have a nice palette replace the old one. I prefer Pepto's palette, it's based on calculated values and decent VIC analysis.

Some do like the Deekay palette better, try both and see for yourself.

There's however still no alternative for capturing interlaced pics, CCS64 is the only one that does that in a convenient way (by hitting Alt+F2).
You could also capture a couple of screens in VICE and see if you manage to get the two alternating counterparts of the interlaced pic, later reassemble these two in photoshop or your favourite program, but that's a timeconsuming task...

My apologies, but I have to test something... |
