Scrolltexts

Has anyone thought of ripping (or retyping) scrolltexts to add to the Db?

I think it would be pretty cool, would add to the entire context and "flavor" of the CSDb, and be an easy reference to reveal scene greets and politics without going through a million files... although it would be lot of work.

Opinions?

No one else is groovin' to this idea? So be it. I'll do it for my NTSC uploads / releases and see if anyone else dances to the tune.

I've given thought to this before, as well as a page for sceners who have passed away. It seems that we all share innovative ideas from time to time.

On one hand, a person just needs to load the demo/game for the scroll text. It's a LOT of work as well.

On the other hand, it would be interesting to be able to read it from the internet.

Digression:

Despite our disagreement a few weeks ago Mike, I'm glad you have decided to stick around. You are the only NTSC scener that I am familiar with here on the CSDb.

I've seen users posting the scrolltexts from crackintros in the comment-field on some entries.
In a way it would be convenient to have scrolltexts collected & searchable f.ex. when trying to sort out historical things about a group or scener.
On the other hand it's not that interesting to read a scrolltext taken out of its context, the demo.

I jus luv reading those old scrolltexts but I rather read them in a demo then just here. but why not giving it a try? there's lots of scrolltexts to read at the WOW website (example here: http://home.tiscali.be/be010874/infos/3yearsdemo.htm ). I might upload them here once the function is available.
