Uploading certain files to CSDB question

General question (and I’m hoping it’s already been dealt with to be honest) I’m currently transferring all my disks and noticing that I have a lot of files that are not on CSDB yet.

HURAY!

Other than that, I am wondering if certain items are actually wanted on CSDB or not.

For instance disk notes. I know I have several disks notes that were part of scene wars, which I would love to see myself on CSDB, but also notes about people quitting the scene with reasons why, or messages like that they have been busted for a certain activity, etc.

Somehow I would feel it a huge shame not to upload them whilst I am sorting all these disks for duplicates, and yet I do not want to unintentionally piss anyone off..
(I rather piss people of intentionally *lol*)

Cheers

I think a lot of such notes are already here, under the misc category. Personally I don't care for most of them, although I can see the added value in some cases.

We want it all, we want it all, we want it all ...

... and WE WANT IT NOW!! :-)

though about personal notes: you shouldnt add that right away, but perhaps let the author decide, whether he wants that to be added or not ...

Yes, personal notes shouldn't be published, this is like putting personal letters or e-mails into the public eye.

i just go for the simple rule: DONT rip apart spread disks.

and that said, i don't think notefiles actually deserve seperate entries.

Thanks for the thoughts guys..

Well, as I seem not to break any rules on first sight I’ll try and make a selection of what to upload and what not myself.

I think it goes without saying that personal notes are not intended to be upped, as I neither would enjoy seeing some of my (and I wrote a lot of them) privat or internal notes.
But thanks for mentioning it though Wreg, others reading this post might not have thought of that.

Groepaz, strong point, will do where relevant.. however I do have piles of disks just containing loose files that only are on the same disk for no other reason then available disk space at the time ;) I’ll up those separately.
