Why the descending chronological order of comments on product pages?
It seems totally unnatural and weird, makes me hate my life whenever I run into a long discussion on a product page.
Note the usability issue: first you have to scroll down to the first comment and then slowly scroll upwards, while reading from down to up (instead of just simply reading from up to down, like on the forums).
Or give us an option to reverse it, pretty please! :)
Oh, by the way, before someone mentions it. I do realize that lengthy discussions don't belong to the product pages and I should beat the fuck out of here and think about more useful things. But, comments are still misused quite often and probably will be in the future. At least make those pages readable for humans. |

Man, I'm everything but oversensitive but what you're doing on both threads is going too far by my definition.
All I asked is an option (e.g. a checkbox) on my userpage to reverse the chronological order of comments which currently bugs my fucking mind, and suddenly you start to write about buttons and mac shortcuts and iphones and whatnot. All of those which have absolutely nothing to do with the topic. But oooh, you have the right for express your random thoughts, so I'm truly sorry for interfering with the words of your unlimited wisdom. |

I just have different point of view, or try to present different solutions, and you take it as personal attack on your person. That looks like oversensitivity to me. It is's you who presents his "unlimited wisdom" and have problem if somebody does not agree with you.

All I want is a possibility, an option to revert the chronological order of comments.
Nothing else, get it?
What kind of an alternative solution you could present for a damned option? It's an option for a reason, and you could chose whether you use it or not, for god's fucking sake! |

I don't want to take that possibility away from you.
I think adding button to go down the page would compliment it perfectly. As there are occasions it would be useful whatever preference user takes.
And it (the button) would be useful on its own, for people who browse this site from hand held devices, regardless if the option you suggested would be implemented or not.

Agreed, a jump to bottom/jump to top button would be quite useful in any case.
In fact, it could be implemented right now regardless of the order of comments. :) |
